Zion Ponderosa – A Business Retreat & Seminar Haven

Thursday, June 13th, 2013

We’ve made some great strides
in recent years in becoming a host for business retreats and seminars. Business retreats and meetings combined with recreation and relaxation are becoming a strong part of our service.

Recently we did a photo shoot to gather some images that show off business people enjoying themselves at Zion Ponderosa and below you will see some of the results of that photo shoot.

Our ranch resort on the border of Zion National Park is the ultimate choice for a Utah business retreat or seminar.   We invite you to learn more about our business retreats.

Zion Ragnar Trail Relay – A Successful 2013 Event!

Monday, April 29th, 2013

Over 1,600 runners just completed competition in the Ragnar Trail Relay at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort (April 26-27).   The event was a great success as the weather cooperated completely and provided cool nights and moderate day-time temperatures for the runners.   Participants were in great spirits throughout the night and next day as they ran each of their three legs, and then patiently waited in-between.

Pam Weileemann from Heber, Utah volunteered at Ragnar because her sons were running in the trail relay. “For guys like my boys who are fathers of families this is a great experience. They brought their young children to this event and are having awonderful time,” said Weileemann.

Groups of runners came from as far away as Atlanta, Georgia and from all around the U.S.

Zion Ponderosa and Ragnar management also cooperated with the local student members of the Future Farmers of America to provide an opportunity to raise funds for the FFA.   Members and advisers from Valley and Kanab High Schools in Kane County assisted with meal service at an evening dinner and provided a pancake breakfast in the morning.   Houston’s Catering provided a mobile kitchen to assist with the event.

Ragnar Trail Relay - Running Event

A runner cruises past a nearby canyon on the Ragnar Trail Relay course at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort.

This is a relay race so when competitors are not running they will be enjoying the company of many others around campfires, and along the course.    This will be the largest event held at Zion Ponderosa and the resort is reserved on this weekend for competitors.

However, if running is not your game, but hiking, or outdoor adventure is more to your liking, then Zion Ponderosa is ready to host you too. April and May are perfect times to get away and experience the wonders of Zion National Park, and nearby Bryce Canyon National Park.

Remember that since we border Zion National Park, you can walk from the resort to the overlooks at Cable Mountain or Observation Point.  Don’t miss out on an opportunity to experience Zion National Park from the Top!
