One of the most enjoyable trails closest to Zion Ponderosa is the Canyon Overlook Trail, a one-mile round trip walk ending at a superb view of lower Zion Canyon, West Temple, the Streaked Wall, the switchbacks of the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway and the “windows” of the Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel. Canyon Overlook is the only trail in the park leading to a panoramic vista without a steep ascent. Other popular hikes within the park are the Riverside Walk, the Emerald Pools Trail, and Weeping Rock.
