Mountain Vacation Resort

If you want a vacation filled with outdoor recreation, Zion Ponderosa’s mountain vacation resort should be at the top of your list

Zion Ponderosa is a top-notch mountain vacation resort located in southern Utah only minutes from the east entrance of Zion National Park. It stands above the rest due to its variety of accommodation and recreation choices. Guests of Zion Ponderosa can choose a variety of accommodations, including tent sites, cowboy cabins, RV sites with full hookups, cabin suites and luxurious mountain homes. Recreation options available to guests for an extra charge are riding ATVs, horseback riding, rock climbing, shooting, and paintball. In between all the exciting recreational activities, you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in our dining room.

Part of the fun of our mountain vacation resort is our recreation barn, which features foosball, ping-pong, and billiards. Mountain bike trails surround Zion Ponderosa. During the summer, we regularly host activities such as bonfires, barn dances, ghost walks, guided hikes, movies, and interpretive talks about the area. Other open-use activities included with your stay include swimming in our two-tiered pool, Frisbee golf, softball, horseshoes, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and croquet.

The main attraction for guests of Zion Ponderosa’s mountain vacation resort is, of course, Zion National Park itself. A 229 square mile showcase of forested plateaus, narrow canyons, and enormous rock monoliths, Zion is Utah’s oldest and most-visited national park. Most visitors explore Zion Canyon, the park’s most popular section, which contains its most famous landmarks, including the Great White Throne, Angels Landing, and the Court of the Patriarchs. The canyon includes a 6.5-mile scenic drive, accessed via shuttle only from April to October, and many short trails appropriate for all ages.
