In addition to the aforementioned recreation options, we also boast an archery and rifle range, located a safe distance from our mountain vacation resort. A perfect place for target practice, we have long bows, with expert guides to teach you how to use them, as well as shotguns for trap shooting and rifles for target shooting. For another type of target practice, you can try your hand at paintball on our five-acre course, which includes manmade obstacles and plenty of natural foliage. We provide you with the necessary gear, including masks, coveralls, paintball guns, and the paintballs themselves.

The main reason guests stay at our mountain vacation resort is to explore Zion National Park. Our location east of the park provides a different perspective, entering the park in a forested plateau high above Zion Canyon, the park’s main tourist area. The road into Zion from our resort on the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway includes a 1.1-mile tunnel blasted from the rock and a series of switchbacks descending into the Zion Canyon area. Zion Canyon will awe you with its towering monoliths such as Angels Landing and the Great White Throne. The canyon boasts many trails, on which you can view waterfalls, hanging gardens, crystal-clear ponds and some of the greatest biodiversity in the state of Utah. After a day on the trail, you will enjoy returning to Zion Ponderosa for dinner at our dining room, a swim in our pool, or a variety of games in our recreation barn.
