Not only is Zion Ponderosa Ranch and Resort an excellent southern Utah vacation lodging headquarters, it is also a superb recreation hub. Our offerings include guided ATV riding, horseback riding, and a rock climbing. We also boast an archery range and a shooting range, as well as a paintball area. Our shooting range features shotguns for trap shooting and rifles for target shooting, while the archery range has long bows and staff available to show you how to use them. Our five-acre paintball course offers another type of target practice among natural foliage and numerous manmade obstacles. We provide you with all of the necessary paintball gear.

Most visitors choose to go on a southern Utah vacation to see Zion National Park, which lies only minutes west of our resort. The road (UT 9) into Zion from our resort offers visitors a different perspective on the park that many visitors do not see. Your drive to the main section of the park from Zion Ponderosa includes checkerboard-like sandstone mounds, ponderosa pine forests, the 1.1-mile Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel and switchbacks that descend into the Zion Canyon area. Zion Canyon contains many scenic trails that provide breathtaking views of towering monoliths, waterfalls, crystal-clear ponds, hanging gardens and some of Utah’s greatest biodiversity. For your convenience, our mountain retreat offers a hiking shuttle that departs our resort at 7:00 a.m. and picks up hikers at 6:00 p.m. at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center.

Located just east of Zion National Park’s border, the Zion Ponderosa Ranch and Resort offers a variety of accommodations from which to choose, everything from posh mountain homes to simple tent sites.
