Mandy Woodhouse - Wellness Retreat Director
Mandy Woodhouse provides the leadership, and direction for all aspects
of retreat activities. Zion Ponderosa has been a part of Mandy's life since she can remember. As a young girl Mandy looked forward to summer visits, and while in college she spent two summers working at Zion Ponderosa. She has her undergrad in Health Science and has worked in commercial gyms and private gyms for 10+ years. Mandy has her NASM Personal Training Certification and AFFA Group Instructor Certificate. She has organized weight loss camps, races, and manages, teaches, and trains many individuals in health and wellness. Mandy loves running, hiking, and biking. She loves doing anything active with her husband and three young daughters.
Michael Kane - Wellness Retreat G.M. & Intructor
In addition to being the General Manager at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, Mr. Kane holds a PHD in Outdoor Recreation and Tourism and is an instructor at the University of Utah. Michael has owned and operated his own resort in Wyoming and has had the pleasure of guiding President Bill Clinton on several adventures.
He is the author of a historical book on William Manly, a pioneer who explored the Green River region of Utah long before John Wesley Powell made his now famous explorations of the Colorado River in the 1870's. Mr. Kane is one of our expert instructors for outdoor wellness and recreation at Zion Ponderosa.
Todd Mitchell - Fitness Trainer
Todd has over 25 years of experience in sports and training. He's a huge advocate for living a healthy lifestyle and encourages all of us to better ourselves - one step at a time. He was raised in a very active home. Growing up, Todd was always involved in sports. In high school he was a three sport athlete and continued his sports career playing baseball at Utah Valley Community College where he earned his associate of arts degree and then transfered to Southern Utah University, played baseball and finished his college tenur with a bachelore's degree in communication. After graduating from college Todd moved to Hollywood, CA to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. While he was there he started working as a personal fitness trainer and built a strong presence in the fitness industry. He continues his work as the fitness consultant for Nike, Adidas, Asics, and KSWISS and he's also worked intimately with cancer survivors, and children with disabilities. Todd's primary focus is to help people understand their motivations and their potential in achieving success! He enjoys running, cycling and a round of golf. He's the proud father of two young boys and spending time with them is his favorite hobby. Sushi is his favorite dish and he wants to complete an ironman one day.
Erica Hansen - Dietician
Erica Hansen, a Registered Dietitian, will be teaching daily interactive nutrition workshops at Zions Ponderosa.She owns the nutrition consulting company, Foods That Fit, where she specializes in working with people to make their health and lifestyle goals fit into a personally tailored food plan. In 2011, Erica developed a weight loss program for Brigham Young University faculty and staff and has since helped more than 100 people lose weight and make nutritious choices daily.
Erica has a BS in dietetics and an MS in nutritional science with an emphasis in nutrition education. She enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband in the great outdoors of southern Utah, snowboarding in colder weather, and curling up with a good book.
Margaret Campbell - Massage Therapist
Margaret became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 1996 and she is also a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. Her passion is healing work and she is excited to be working with Zion Ponderosa at the Juniper Spa. Margaret has used used her massage hands to relax and heal with Backroads cycling tours, chiropractors and physical therapists. Her massage modalities include Swedish massage, Deep tissue massage, Sports massage, Trigger point therapy, Hot rock massage, Reflexology, Scrubs & Spa wraps, Reiki energy healing, Aromatherapy and more. She is very passionate about Massage, a mother of two, and a person who loves cross country skiing, yoga, hiking and cycling.

Spencer Cook - Massage Therapist
became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2012 and is also Nationally Certified. He attended the Nevada School of Massage Therapy in the beginning of 2012, where he grew to love massage therapy; not just as a profession but as a way of life. Spencer's favorite modality is Cranial Sacral. He loves to learn new things and is always open to new experiences. He loves to be outdoors either hiking, swimming, camping, skiing, 4 wheeling, or just out for a walk. He takes his work very seriously and loves what he does.
Alisa Sacca - Massage Therapist
Alisa Sacca is a current Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Nationally Board Certified in Bodywork and Therapeutic Massage, Licensed Aesthetician (skin care specialist) and Certified Reiki Master. Her extensive credits and knowledge has given Alisa numerous opportunities to travel and perform her skills with clientele worldwide. She is a consummate professional who is sought after and in constant demand. Due to Alisa's always personal attention to the clients needs, her client success rate and satisfaction is unequalled in the industry.
Mark Wade - Presenter
Mr. Wade will offer evening presentations that will regale wellness retreat guests with stories of this region's history; the outlaws, pioneers, and Native Americans, and will also provide interesting insights to local geology, geography, and wildlife. Mark is the former Director of Tourism for the southwest region of Utah that includes attractions such as; Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Glen Canyon Natioanal Recreation Area, The Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, and Capitol Reef National Park.
Mark is a professional hiking guide, outdoor photographer, videographer, and writer, and has had the pleasure of guiding national and international writers, photograpers, film-makers, and travel experts through the scenic regions of southern Utah.
Our staff also includes expert wellness instructors, recreation managers, hiking guides, and dining managers.
