Kid’s Camp — Zion Ponderosa

June 8, 2015

Picture this: You’re visiting Zion Ponderosa on a family vacation, enjoying quality time with the little ones. So far you’ve been swimming, horseback riding, braving the climbing wall and zip line, enjoyed a horse-drawn wagon ride and Dutch oven dinner. You’ve explored Zion National Park’s scenic drive, taken a few short hikes. But…the Narrows look interesting…you’d like to go deeper into the slot canyon than you can with the kiddos. Angel’s Landing looks like a thrilling challenge, too. Maybe you’ve always wanted to try canyoneering, or take an extended hike to Observation Point. Or perhaps you’re picturing yourself relaxing in the hot tub or enjoying a massage at our on-site Juniper Spa. But wait…what about the kids?!

That’s where Zion Ponderosa Kid’s Camp comes in. Sure it’s a family vacation, but that’s exactly why Kid’s Camp was created — so everyone in the family can make the most of their Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort vacation!

Zion Ponderosa Kid’s Camp includes a variety of fun activities designed to teach, challenge and excite kids ages 4-11. While parents go explore, our Kid’s Camp will guide your children through a fun day of themed activities, adventures and crafts. Daily themes include desert animal and plant habitats, local geology and paleontology, Native Americans, Utah pioneers, and space. Themed lessons are designed to help children understand and appreciate southern Utah’s beautiful environment — all while forming new friendships and enjoying exciting adventures throughout the day.

Our goal during Kid’s Camp is to teach children about different things, and also have fun doing it. Three full-time camp counselors lead Zion Ponderosa Kid’s Camp, so you can be confident that your children are getting attention and supervision.
