Zion National Park is home to more than just stunning rock monoliths and narrow sandstone slot canyons. The park is an ecological hub, supporting a rich biodiversity of plant and animal life. In particular, Zion is a popular place for birds.

Over 291 species of birds call Zion home. Whether you’re looking for bald eagles during the winter, or want to see Peregrine Falcons through your binoculars or the long lens of your camera, Zion is the only place where you’ll have the opportunity to see so many birds in such a unique habitat. Even owls, condors, and Sandhill cranes can be spotted in Zion, if you know where to look.
