If you’re seeking an unforgettable outdoor experience that combines comfort, adventure, and the beauty of fall foliage, look no further than fall glamping at Zion Ponderosa. Here are five reasons why fall glamping should be at the top of your list.

1. Unmatched location

Zion Ponderosa sits at 6,000 feet elevation on the east side of Zion National Park, in close proximity to some of the region’s top destinations. Located just 7 miles to Zion’s east entrance, 75 minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park, and 25 minutes to Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, you’re within reach of some pretty awe-inspiring landscapes.

2. The quiet side of Zion

Zion Ponderosa offers more than just a place to lay your head. Away from the bustling towns and cities, Zion Ponderosa offers a genuine escape from the Zion tourist crowds. Immerse yourself in one of our cozy glamping tents, free from distractions and crowds so you can truly unwind and recharge. Plus, with no light pollution, fall glamping at Zion Ponderosa offers an exceptional opportunity for stargazing. Sit outside your glamping tent and be mesmerized by billions of twinkling stars, or join a guided stargazing tour for a late-night adventure.

3. Creature comforts without the creatures

When you go fall glamping at Zion Ponderosa, you have cozy beds, wifi, picnic areas with grills, and access to showers, bathrooms, and laundry facilities. Plus, you can enjoy free and paid amenities, like our two-tiered pool, hot tub, pickleball and tennis courts, mini golf, on-property dining, entertainment, and East Zion Adventures guided tours. At Zion Ponderosa, we believe that outdoor adventures are meant to be shared with loved ones, so our cozy glamping accommodations and family-friendly amenities ensure that every member of your group finds the comfort level they desire. Choose from glamping tents, deluxe glamping tents, Conestoga wagons, or cowboy cabins.

4. Sweater weather

Fall glamping also means enjoying milder temperatures. Unlike setting up a tent by the Virgin River, which can become sweltering in the daytime heat, our elevated location provides a more comfortable experience. You may even be able to break out your fave cozy sweater at night! The leaves turn at different times throughout the season at different elevations. Read this blog to find out more about what you can expect during your stay, but here are some general guidelines:

Early September: Highest elevations may begin to show some color change but most foliage remains green.
Mid-September: Trees at high elevations begin to change color.
Late September: Beginning of peak season.
Early October: Fall colors peak in Zion National Park and at Zion Ponderosa.
Mid-October: Higher elevations are past their peak but colors still show at middle to lower elevations.
Late October/Early November: Peak fall season in main Zion Canyon
