Traveling with children isn’t always easy, but it opens up a whole new world for our kids. So mark your calendar for Kids to Parks Day on May 18, 2019.
Celebrated each year on the third Saturday of May, Kids to Parks Day connects kids and families with their local, state and national parks. It’s a great opportunity for kids of all ages, and their families, to get outdoors and gain an appreciation of nature. By visiting parks, kids across the country learn to:
- Experience outdoor recreation
- Appreciate our outdoor spaces
- Learn about wildlife
- Enjoy history, geology, STEM, art and more
- Embrace their role as future stewards of the great outdoors
