For the third consecutive year Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort has been the host to a Ragnar Trail Relay. Last year’s event drew 1,600 runners and this year’s event brought 2,800+. These images and the video were from yesterday, and the weather changed overnight, so today weather wasn’t what was hoped for.

Ragnar event coordinators indicated that this was the largest trail running event they have hosted. View this video the shows runners, interviews with participants, and scenes of the entire event.
This event started yesterday morning (Friday – April 25) and concludes this afternoon. Zion Ponderosa offers six different lodging options which were all filled, and a large part of the main resort area was a tent city for the past couple of days.

This Ragnar Trail Relay on the border of Zion National Park has been a great success, and participants seem to have enjoyed their experience in 2014.
