Where is Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort located?
We’re located on the eastern edge of Zion National Park, just minutes from the East Entrance. This makes us a peaceful basecamp away from the main canyon crowds while still offering quick access to the park’s top attractions.
How close is the resort to Zion National Park?
The East Entrance is about a 10–15 minute drive from our property. Popular trailheads like Observation Point via the East Mesa Trail are just a short drive from the resort.
Is Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort considered a hotel?
While many guests look for “hotels near Zion National Park,” Zion Ponderosa is actually a full-service resort. We offer a variety of lodging options including cabins, vacation homes, glamping tents, and RV or camping sites—something for every style of traveler.

Yes! Our vacation homes are fully equipped with kitchens, perfect for families or groups who want to prepare their own meals.

What activities are available at the resort?
Guests can enjoy swimming pools, mini golf, climbing walls, horseback riding, guided canyoneering tours, Jeep tours, and sports courts (basketball, volleyball, tennis, and pickleball). During summer, we also host free nightly family events.
Do you offer guided tours into Zion National Park?
Yes! We provide a variety of guided adventures including hiking, Jeep tours, horseback riding, and canyoneering tours. These activities let you explore the beauty of Zion’s east side with the help of knowledgeable guides.

Do I need a reservation?
Yes, reservations are strongly recommended—especially during peak seasons (spring through fall). Lodging near Zion National Park fills quickly, so book early to secure your preferred accommodations.
Is there shuttle access to Zion National Park?
The main canyon of Zion is accessed via the park’s shuttle system (spring through fall). Guests can drive from the resort to the shuttle entry point in about 35–40 minutes. See Shuttle page.
