Property Accessibility Statement
Zion Ponderosa Resort is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible experience for all guests. Below is a detailed overview of the accessible features available at our property, as well as areas where alternative routes or limitations apply, to help you plan your stay.
Parking & Loading Zones
-
Designated Parking: Two (2) designated ADA parking spaces are located at the Main Lodge/Front Desk area. Additional ADA parking is available directly outside the Recreation Center.
-
Loading & Access: Accessible parking spaces feature an adjacent unloading aisle and a level surface connecting directly to an entry ramp for the Front Desk and restaurant.
Building Entrances, Lobbies, & Interior Routes
-
Main Lodge & Front Desk: Features double-wide entry doors with a ramp leading down from the parking lot. Water dispensers are accessible on the check-in counter. Please note that the interior connecting doorway between the Front Desk lobby and the main restaurant contains steps. Guests requiring step-free access must use the designated exterior restaurant entrance located near the parking lot ramp.
-
Recreation Center: Equipped with full double-door entrances for easy access.
Food Service & Dining Areas
-
Ponderosa Eats (Main Restaurant): Fully accessible via a designated exterior entrance close to the main parking ramp.
-
Plaza Area Dining: Both the onsite food truck and the Trail Head food outlet feature level, accessible access.
Exterior Routes & Common Areas
-
Main Pathways: Smooth, step-free pathways connect the main resort buildings, including the check-in lodge, restaurant, activity center, and pool hall.
-
Recreation & Events: The sports courts and the main event tent are fully accessible.
-
Pool & Amenities: The pool entrance and the surrounding pool deck are accessible.
-
Property Limitations: * Because we are a large ranch property, some direct paths feature inclines or steps; however, an alternative step-free route is available to reach all major buildings.
-
The guest pavilion is currently not wheelchair accessible.
-
The pond area features deep sand, which may be difficult for wheelchairs and mobility devices to navigate.
-
Public & Common-Use Restrooms
-
Accessible Restrooms: Fully compliant ADA options are available at the Front Desk, the Pool area, and within the Campground facilities.
-
Shower Houses: Features accessible detached bathrooms and showers serving nearby cabin units.
-
Exclusions: The restroom located inside the Adventure Center does not meet ADA standards.
