Springdale, Utah
Springdale, Utah is a small town bordering Zion National Park at the South Entrance near the Main Canyon. Springdale is known for its close proximity to Zion and offers a variety of resources to visitors and our lodging guests at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort.

Springdale Shuttle
To reduce traffic in the park and preserve the natural environment, Springdale and Zion National Park operate a shuttle system that runs most of the year. The Shuttle stops at various locations in the Springdale area and takes visitors to the Zion National Park Visitor Center where the park runs a shuttle up and down the Main Canyon of the park.
Note: while shuttles are running they are the only way (except biking or walking) that visitors can get access to the Main Canyon and many of Zion's most iconic locations.
Springdale provides several parking options for visitors looking to access the park:
Park Entrance Parking: If you arrive early, there are parking spaces available at the entrance of Zion National Park. However, these spaces fill up quickly so it is advisable to arrive early, especially during the busy seasons.
Zion National Park Visitor Center Parking: The Visitor Center is located in Springdale, just outside the park entrance. It has a parking lot where you can park for free. This is a convenient option if you plan to start your exploration of the park from the visitor center.
Paid Street Parking: Some areas in Springdale may have street parking available. Be sure to check for any parking regulations or restrictions to avoid tickets or towing.
Note: that during peak season parking in Zion fills up quickly. That is why we offer shuttle services from Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort to the Visitor Center shuttle.
