Zion Itinerary

Day 1

Morning/early afternoon: Arrive at Zion Ponderosa, check-in at reception, and settle in to your lodging. Then get to know Zion Ponderosa! Explore the sprawling acres and enjoy on-property activities such as pickleball, tennis, hot tub, and more.

2:00 or 4:00 p.m.: Start your East Zion adventure with the Brushy Cove Jeep Tour. The best time to witness the fall colors is during mid-October. This tour departs from Zion Ponderosa and guarantees stunning views.

Evening: Take in the Zion night sky with a stargazing tour at Zion Ponderosa. This guided event starts around 7:30 or 8:30 p.m. depending on your visit date. Cozy blankets and hot chocolate are provided!

Day 2

8:00 a.m.: Start your day with a continental breakfast at Ponderosa Eats. Or, upgrade to a heartier start to your day with additional menu options like breakfast burritos, avocado toast, or biscuits and gravy for an additional fee. 

9:00 a.m.: Take a 30-minute drive to Orderville, UT, where you can fuel up and get your favorite coffee and snacks at The Shop Coffee Co. You’ll definitely want to browse the local gifts and grab a delicious beverage.

10:00 a.m.: Meet your guide for the White Mountain Horseback ride. Late October is the perfect time for this adventure, offering fantastic views of the fall landscape.

Lunch: Enjoy a meal at Archie’s in Orderville or Thunderbird Restaurant in Mt. Carmel Junction.

Afternoon: Opt for a Sunset Guided Hike with East Zion Adventures or venture to catch the sunset at Canyon Overlook in Zion National Park.

Day 3

8:00 a.m. Relish a hearty breakfast with a continental spread and your choice of coffee from Zion Ponderosa’s Narrows Coffee Bar. Ask about our Breakfast-To-Go boxes.

9:00 a.m.: Take the East Zion Adventures shuttle to the Observation Point Trailhead. This is an opportunity to embark on the Observation Point hike, which typically takes about 3-4 hours round trip. Don’t forget to pack a lunch for the journey.
