First things first, we want to remind you to make your reservation for Zion Ponderosa's annual Thanksgiving feast. If you're headed to Zion National Park for Thanksgiving vacation, it's the perfect way to celebrate the holiday without the work. See details below!

November 8: Free Movie Night at RedStone Theater

Enjoy a free screening of E.T. at the historic RedStone Theater. This event requires pre-registration and may already be sold out, but you can register early for next month's free movie night, featuring Home Alone on December 20. RedStone Theater is Kanab's premiere performing arts center with a legacy of family entertainment spanning over 88 years. 

November 11: Veterans Day & Free Entrance Day to Zion National Park

In honor of Veterans Day, Zion National Park (and all national park sites across the U.S.) offer free admission for Veterans, Gold Star Family members, and current military members and their dependents. Veterans are also eligible for a lifetime pass, which can be obtained for free at sites that issue passes (including Zion National Park) or for a $10 processing fee on the USGS website. Come explore Zion's stunning late-autumn landscapes!

November 28: K-Town Turkey Trot in Kanab

Start Thanksgiving morning with the K-Town Turkey Trot 5K. The race begins at 8:15 a.m. with same-day registration available starting at 7:30 a.m. The family-friendly fun run begins at Jackson Flat Reservoir, located two miles south of Kanab. The course follows the Sherry Belle Trail, a 3-mile loop offering beautiful views of the reservoir. Early registration is $5 per individual or $20 per family until November 23. After that, prices increase to $10 per individual and $40 per family. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive Thanksgiving attire for this fun start to the holiday.

November 28: Thanksgiving Dinner at Zion Ponderosa

Celebrate Thanksgiving with a special dinner at Zion Ponderosa. Seating times are at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. Takeout options are also available. Reservations are required for both dine-in and takeout.

November 30: Kanab Christmas Light Parade and Festival

Kanab kicks off the holiday season with its annual Christmas Light Parade, this year themed around classic holiday films. Held in downtown Kanab, the parade will feature floats inspired by beloved holiday movies, followed by a festive celebration with activities, treats, and live entertainment. Learn more

Reserve your spot for a magical ride on Kanab's Polar Express, where families can travel to the North Pole and visit Santa's Sleigh Shop. Along the way, you'll enjoy the fun and mischief of Santa's elves, and children will have a chance to meet Santa himself.
