Ā  On National Public Lands Day, and every day, we hope you are out and about experiencing our nation's incredible national parks and monuments. Of the 421 protected sites managed by National Park Service, there are 62 national parks, each filled with majestic wonder, untamed wilderness, rich history and complex ecosystems. These beautiful public lands belong to all Americans, and it's our privilege to not only explore and enjoy them, but to also protect them for future generations. Please remember to enjoy Zion National Park and all of our public lands responsibly by practicing Leave No Trace principles and encouraging others to do the same. Ā

The 7 Leave No Trace principles are:

1. Plan ahead and prepare 2. Travel and camp on durable surfaces 3. Dispose of waste properly 4. Leave what you find 5. Minimize campfire impacts 6. Respect wildlife 7. Be considerate of other visitors
