This Zion mountain trail ride begins by following a trail that winds up the side of Pine Knoll through the desert forest with an intense elevation increase. Eventually, the horseback ride exits the forest and you'll get to see majestic sweeping views of Southern Utah and Zion National Park. At the summit, you'll pause to capture pictures that will help you remember this experience for years to come. Then, continue down the mountain, all the while learning about the area and wildlife while listening to western stories.

This ride is ideal for the timid beginner looking to get acquainted with horses. The trail has very little elevation change and lacks the views of the other ride options. Let our guides put you at ease and help you become a horse expert by the end of the ride!

Children under eight years old are too young for the regular horse rides but they will love our kid-friendly horseback rides that are led by wranglers and are very safe. Each kid's horseback ride lasts about 10 minutes.
