Multiple tour options for horseback riding, jeep tours, canyoneering and guided hiking provide plenty of options—and we’re always striving to create new East Zion adventures for our guests to enjoy. Whether it’s your first time visiting Zion Ponderosa or your fifth, here’s what’s new at Zion Ponderosa:

East Zion Jeep Tours

Our East Zion Adventures Jeep tours boast some of the best backcountry views around, free from crowds and interruption. 

Zion Cliffs Sunset Jeep Tour

Our Zion Cliffs Sunset Jeep Tour

Our Zion Cliffs Sunset Jeep Tour meets at and departs from the Thunderbird Lodge in Mt. Carmel Junction just before sunset. After a short drive on the highway, the backcountry adventure begins. Enjoy incredible sweeping views of the West Temple, Parunuweap Canyon, Elephant Gap, and other major Zion landmarks. After sunset, the tour returns to the Thunderbird Lodge.

Red Canyon Jeep Tour

 

This one is for the history buffs. See how Native Americans and early settlers thrived in this rugged landscape as you explore the desert canyons of East Zion. This tour passes views of Mineral Gulch, Parunuweap Canyon, Elephant Gap, and the tributary canyons of the Zion National Park wilderness.

UTV Combo Adventures

This year we added not one, not two, but three UTV + canyoneering adventures!

Elkheart Canyon UTV/Slot Canyon Adventure

Our Elkheart Canyon UTV adventure combines off-roading fun with breathtaking rappelling. Hop into one of our customized UTVs as we take a thrilling ride to a world-class, private access, backcountry slot canyon. This adventure features three total rappels, with the highest descent reaching 100 feet.

Crimson Canyon UTV/Canyoneering Tour

Crimson Canyon UTV Hike Tour

This combo UTV + canyoneering tour begins with a thrilling ride to a private access slot canyon. We hike into the canyon, where stunning red rock canyon walls soar over 100 feet high on either side. Guided by a local expert and featuring some scrambling and rock climbing, intermediate to advanced canyoneers will love this adventure!

Canyoneering

Canyoneering is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Zion National Park area features some of the world’s premier canyoneering opportunities.

Guided Hiking
