WALKING / HIKING
Trails span across our ranch in and amongst the forest, and of course there are miles of trails in Zion National Park where visitors can experience the solitude and grandeur of this area.
SUNRISE / SUNSET / NIGHT SKIES
For the early riser or those who enjoy the night skies, you’re in for a treat. Skies over Zion National Park are some of the clearest in the country and you’ll enjoy watching the rising or setting sun and the fleeting clouds on the horizon. Bring you own bikes follow many trails and roads in the area. You can even ride the paved path in Zion National Park.
WILDLIFE VIEWING / BIRD WATCHING
Deer are common in the early spring and fall and also regularly visible throughout the summer months. The Zion Ponderosa is a literal haven for deer, wild turkeys, and a large list of other birds and animals. Eagles are prevalent from November to March and both Bald and Golden eagles have are regularly seen in the trees and skies overhead. Turkey Vultures and their larger cousins the California Condor are regular visitors to the area. Condors have some of the largest wing-spans for any land-based bird. Big horn sheep love the east-side of Zion National Park so don’t be surprised if you come across several of them grazing on the cliff-faces as you walk or drive on this side of Zion National park.
